of NaTisha Washington
NaTisha Washington is a proud Wilkinsburg native who has dedicated her life to strengthening and uplifting communities with a special focus on environmental justice (EJ) and Black disinvested communities that have long been neglected. As a long-time resident and advocate, NaTisha deeply understands the unique challenges faced by these impacted neighborhoods. In her current role as a Communications Manager for the Breathe Project and former role as an Environmental Justice Organizer for 412 Justice, NaTisha facilitates community conversations, engages directly with residents, researches pressing environmental issues, and speaks out on health-related environmental concerns throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, especially in the Mon Valley. She is a strong voice for equitable solutions to pollution and health disparities, ensuring that those most impacted are heard and empowered to take collective action.

Beyond advocacy, NaTisha is a local entrepreneur who helps organizations connect with and invest in EJ and Black disinvested communities through her nonprofit consulting business. She's also a co-owner of a facilitation DEI-focused consulting business that addresses diverse engagement in EJ work. Additionally, she is passionate about preparing youth for the green economy and celebrating local businesses and artists to help drive economic revitalization.

As an active member of the
Blight & Infrastructure committee, Special Events committee, borough representative on the Wilkinsburg Landbank, and soon to be Shade Tree Committee member NaTisha is committed to ensuring the community is aware of current and upcoming projects in the borough
